The Pursuit of Happiness
Yesterday on TV, two possibilities, either watch an Israelian film "The Bubble" which I adored when I saw it at the cinema: sensible, sensitive, sensual, I cried so much at the end, that I didn't feel I wanted to see it again.
So I chose to watch "The pursuit of Happiness" with Will Smith and his son.
The kind of film made to prove American values: even if you are nothing, but hard working, you can be a milionaire...So that from the beginning, you know the end...
And Will Smith keeps on running, running... Pursuit is the right term....
He keeps on making faces to prove he is unhappy, or happy, or clever... A few moments come out of the film: his first interview in the society, when he arrives covered in paint...
But this moments are rare... Homeless, poverty, and riches... But it never goes into a critic of the society. It just shows that if you are poor but harworking, you can be rich...
