The Lords of the North by Bernard Cornwell

This is the perfect example of Alzheimer's disease.. Here's a book I had already bought and read, and have bought and read again....
and I had the same pleasure at the second time!
Wonderful language! Bloody fights and history like a scroll in front of our eyes. Each book by Bernard Cornwell is an immense pleasure, as it makes history alive, the language of the actors seems so real, so lively, their feelings and actions so true, that you are immediately enrapted in the book and never leave it, even though you have already read it...
And this is a part of English history which is not well known as there are very few documents about it, so he can create characters and actions, and we believe in them, we really think they have existed, and we see how  England was born. Well, we think that now, we know how it was born...
Great writer!
