Flights of Love by Bernhard Schlink

Being French and reading in English a book written by a German....But as we say in France, when somebody gives you a horse, you don't look at his teeth....No idea what the equivalent would be in English...

And being German is the central option of those short stories!

The difficulty of being a German after nazism...

The difficult relationships with other nationalities or religions.

The weight of secrets, family secrets, or political secrets.

Excellent book.
