Vanity Fare by Megan Caldwell

A sort of American Bridget Jones.

Her husband dumps her for a blond, she has to survive with her son, aged six, and find a job to pay the bills and the food.

A friend offers her a part time job, finding a marketing promotion for a pastry shop situated in front of a library, and created by a handsome English man and his partner.

The alliance pastry-library makes her invent some litterary names for the different desserts.

And insures the success of the shop.

Of course at first she thinks she could fall in love with the cook, but realizes his ego is bigger than anything, and she falls for the associate, who finally loves her too.

A girlish book. Nothing to think a lot about... Just to pass time!
