The British Museum is falling down by David Lodge

It was perhaps funny in 1965, but now, it's absolutely boring.. just one cliché after the other... The poor catholic who can't make love to his wife because he's afraid she might be pregnant again.. The old student who is unable to finish his thesis, or to enter "real life", the world of university teachers....
It would probably make an Irish catholic laugh, but for a French woman, it's just boring...
