At first, I wondered if I would be able to finish those 770 pages...

But the story was so enthralling that I devoured it quicker than I thought!
Horrible murders, paedophiles, horrible characters..
Everything to make you thrill.

And at the same time,  Inspector Lynley lives the hardest time of his life, Sergeant Havers gets to know better her neighbours, Sergeant Nkata is on the front scene for the first time.

And all the little characters are so interesting, so deeply human, nothing seems unreal.
The connections and the relationships between the actors are well described, interesting.
