Heartstone by CJ.Sansom

As usual, when you've started a Shardlake story, you can't stop...Although almost nothing happens until the 400th page.....But the characters are so attractive, goods and villains, the descriptions are so fascinating, that after the first page, you're already enthralled...

And when suddenly, murders and enquiries accelerate, you're stuck to the book, day or night you have to finish it...

This time, while Henry the VIIIth is fighting the French who are trying to invade Britain near Portsmouth, Shardlake, with his usual flair and obstinacy is following two cases : one, a young man who's the ward of a family in Sussex, and the one of a woman held in Bedlam, the hospital for alienated in London.

And finally the two cases will lead him to Portsmouth, and we'll be visiting the fantastic ships of the Renaissance, and we'll be there for the wrecking of the Mary Rose in the Solent.

Shardlake could have died several times again...But he survived! For our greatest pleasure! And as usual, he solves the cases!
