Paris is full of surprises...

Between Blanche and Pigalle, you might think there would only be sex shops, or cabarets...But you can see some remnants of the end of the 19th century  when most of the great artists lived here...At the moment, it's quite fashionable among artist to live here too... and the atmosphere is changing.
Nonetheless, yesterday, I discovered this building which looks like a "hôtel particulier" whose entrance is stuck between two sex shops.
Who could dream of such a beauty here?
can't you imagine all the beautiful dresses and the cabs coming in and out of this place at the end of the 19th century?
When Suzanne Valadon and the other models where roving the streets around here to find a painter who would employ them? when the Moulin Rouge dancers where walking home at dawn?
A few metres farther, a statue in the street.. The entrance to an art gallery??? Not at all, the Museum of Erotism....
